Virgin Atlantic just released an offer with a 20% discount on reward flights operated by Virgin Atlantic. It is not the first time we see this offer from the airlines, however, this time the offer is applicable on all dates in 2024! All you have to do is make the booking by the 31st of January 2024.

What is included?

The discount is applicable to the following:

• Economy, Premium Economy and Upper Class
• Flight upgrades
• 2-4-1 bookings through the Virgin Atlantic Credit Card companion voucher

Exclusions

The following routes are excluded:

• Tel Aviv
• Lagos
• Delhi

Virgin Atlantic Peak Travel Dates

Before making any booking, it is worth noting the peak travel dates that apply to Virgin Atlantic. Reward flights cost double the points in peak seasons. The dates are as follows:

• 01 January 2024 – 03 January 2024
• 22 March 2024 – 15 April 2024
• 16 June 2024 – 02 September 2024
• 25 October 2024 – 5 November 2024
• 07 December 2024 – 5 January 2025

The costs are as follows for the Economy Classic reward seat:

• 16,000 points
• It is worth noting that Economy Classic ticket has a free 23kg checked bag

The current cost of the same flight with the same class is £505. If for example you are an American Express Gold Card holder, you can transfer to Virgin Atlantic 16,000 MR points which Amex values at £4.5 per 1,000 points. Hence, 16,000 points are valued at £72 by Amex, however, the total savings if used on this offer would be £225 which is £153 more than what Amex values these points at!!
