Major airlines generally reward frequent flyers with loyalty program points which travellers can use to redeem for upgrades, shopping and reward flights. The latter is a game-changer with certain airlines as it saves travellers significant amount of money.

Reward flights are mainly beneficial for travellers that tend towards flying with major airlines. Ofcourse, you can find cheap flights with low-budget airlines, however, most of us can agree that the overall experience is not the same as that with major airlines.

I discovered reward flights a few year back when I was looking at the best way to redeem my credit card membership points. As a travel enthusiast, reward flights made so much sense to me, however, not all airlines have lucrative reward flight programmes.
